AmeriCorps Program Manager - "Zoo Unto Others" Service Program
The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden's AmeriCorps service program has defined three areas of focus when it comes to serving community. We recognize that if we are going to "move the conservation needle" we need to focus on serving human communities, wildlife communities and ecological communities in order to allow all three communities can thrive together. The Zoo Unto Others service program increases our capacity to serve these three communities simultaneously, while developing the next generation of
zoo conservation professionals. If this sounds fulfilling to you and want to be part of this amazing program, then we would like to meet you for an interview!
The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden (CZBG) and AmeriCorps have partnered together with these three goals in mind:

AmeriCorps Service Members work directly with teachers and students to improve science literacy and academic engagement in the science process.
2) We serve human, wildlife, and ecological communities by challenging our Cincinnati community to step up and do more to conserve resources and wildlife! AmeriCorps Service Members engage community members by sharing sustainable habits, encourage sustainable behavior change, and provide hands-on learning opportunities to our visiting public.
