Job Description

Jefferson Consulting Group is seeking a Project Management Intern to support Jefferson's Emerging Account Portfolio.

The Project Management Intern will support project teams in the successful delivery of projects to Jefferson clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in project management, possess excellent organizational skills, and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. The role reports directly to a Vice President leading delivery to a customer. The ideal candidate will be someone with strong attention to detail, enthusiasm for process improvement, an interest in federal consulting, and familiarity with data management techniques. A willingness to learn and try new things is necessary.

Overview of duties

  • Support the project team in the planning, execution, and monitoring of project tasks.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans and timelines.
  • Assist in the creation of project deliverables, including project status reports, presentations, and other materials as required.
  • Attend and participate in project team meetings, including recording minutes and follow-up on action items.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project planning and execution.
  • Support project team members in any other tasks required to ensure the project's completion.
  • Evaluate existing processes and solution innovative ideas to increase efficiency.
  • Update existing documentation and develop new documentation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in business, Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates good judgment including understanding of when to act, when to escalate, or when to request assistance from other staff members.
  • Demonstrate "innovative" thinking and innovative ideas
  • Inquisitive nature and an eagerness to learn

Preferred

  • Previous internship experience preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Office 365
