SUMMARY

The Corporate Pricing Analyst play a key role in JSG's strategy to profitability grow the business. The position will be a highly collaborative role that will partner with sales, product management, finance, and IT to help drive corporate pricing initiatives. The role will help support corporate oversight of our price strategies, develop insightful analytics on gross margin and price traction performance and partner with our business units to help create strategic actions plans that will help drive profitable growth. The position is a hybrid position, located in Deerfield, IL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Corporate Pricing Manager this position will support the development and compliance for corporate pricing strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring competitive positioning in the market. The position will be responsible for analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and internal data to optimizing pricing decisions across the JSG product portfolio.



  1. Price Analysis and Optimization:


    • Conduct comprehensive analysis of pricing data, including costs, margins, and market trends
    • Evaluate competitor pricing strategies and market dynamics to identify pricing opportunities and leakage
    • Optimize pricing strategies by performing cross-functional work with Product Managers, Finance, and Sales
    • Lead the tracking and enforcement of our MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policy


  2. Price Modeling and Forecasting:


    • Support the development of pricing models and tools to support data-driven decision-making
    • Assist in forecasting the impact of pricing changes on sales volume, revenue, and profitability
    • Monitor pricing performance and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve business objectives.


  3. Margin Management:


    • Monitor product margins and identify opportunities for margin improvement
    • Work closely with product management and sales teams to optimize pricing decisions while maintaining competitive positioning
    • Implement pricing controls and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment with overall business goals
    • Act as SME for the tools we use to track competitive pricing and develop analysis that can be leveraged to drive analytical market decisions


  4. Competitive Analysis:


    • Conduct regular competitive analysis to understand market trends, pricing strategies, and positioning
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on competitive intelligence to inform pricing decisions and market strategies


  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:


    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product management, finance and IT teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives and market dynamics
    • Provide guidance and support on pricing-related initiatives and promotions
    • Communicate pricing changes and updates internally and externally as needed




REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • 3 - 5 years of overall experience in finance, pricing or product management
  • Proficiency in data modeling, large data analysis tools and techniques
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, Excel in particular
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and across departments
  • Attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset
  • Action oriented, hands-on, "roll up your sleeves"-type approach
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment efficiently and effectively
