Who we are and what we do:

The Tennessee Department of Treasury impacts the lives of Tennesseans every day. Treasury is responsible for many of the financial operations of state government, including managing more than $100 billion in assets through its various investment programs. We administer the States Retirement Program, RetireReadyTN, which combines the state pension plan, Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, and the States Deferred Compensation plan. Treasury serves all Tennesseans by helping to educate and empower individuals to make informed financial choices, and by providing public-serving programs in the areas of college savings, financial literacy, unclaimed property, criminal injuries compensation, and more.

Job Overview:

This position will be responsible for overseeing our business analyst and quality assurance teams, ensuring smooth project management across both technical and business stakeholders. This position will have a proven track record of removing obstacles, effectively translating high-level business requirements, and ensuring that all deliverables meet these specifications. This role requires a hands-on approach to lead and motivate our teams towards achieving business goals, as well as driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing the individuals, processes, and tools required in the design, development, implementation, and support of computer systems, equipment, and applications to meet the needs of the Treasury Departments internal and external end users. This includes the following: Collaborate with business, technical, and vendor stakeholders to understand scope and determine prioritization. Maintain a continuous resource assignment status and plan for managing resources capacity allocations and monitoring progress. Monitor, evaluate and, if necessary, task corrective action to ensure your team is delivering timely, quality solutions in a professional manner. Evaluate, document, and govern teams process and procedures to optimize efficiency, transparency, and quality. Lead and/or participate in the planning and execution of business continuity/disaster recovery exercises.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from a college or university with a bachelors degree and 6 years of professional level experience in business analysis, software development, infrastructure and networking, database administration, cyber security, or procurement of business information systems. A minimum of 3 years of comparable Information Systems management experience.
