Production Supervisor

Dover Precision Components is hiring 2 Production Supervisors for our FW Murphy Production Controls business located in Rosenberg, TX. We manufacture and deliver a wide range of instrumentation and control solutions for the Oil & Gas Production and Natural Gas Compression markets. Our products improve the protection, performance, and reliability of the Natural Gas Supply Chain while protecting our environment and creating systems and equipment to help producers stay in compliance and meet stringent emission regulations. We are hiring a custom shop assembly supervisor and an electronics assembly supervisor to support growth. These are first shift roles, hours typically starting at 6:30- 7:00am.

• Monitor and coordinate the 5S program and support safety efforts to create/maintain a safe/clean work environment.
• Manage a team of 30- 40 employees, including motivating, scheduling, and coaching.
• Understand cell, value stream and plant metrics. Able to identify gap between current state and target, and implement corrective actions using problem-solving tools.
• Coordinate with training department and track status to assure all employees are either actively in training and/or have completed the 4-step training program for the tasks they are performing.
• Continuously monitor and work to improve the quality of personnel output, i.e. NCM (Non-Conforming Materials), OBA (Out of Box failures), Line discrepancies, etc.
• Work in partnership with quality, manufacturing and design engineering on projects involving continuous improvement, use Lean Six Sigma tools to achieve Overdrive performance.
• Create, monitor, and report on the Daily/Weekly Production Plan.
• Monitor status, adjust resources, report on and conduct meetings concerning achievement of acceptable levels of key performance indicators in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Actively participate in collaboration team activities, lead the team on issues pertaining to production, periodically lead team meetings.
• Coordinate staffing levels and the daily activities of the Team Leads, provide attrition reason codes to management.
• Administer all policies, procedures, work, and test instructions associated with the assigned cells/lines.
• Actively participate in the improvement process including "just-do-it" activities with responsibilities including any preparation work, actual improvement activities and follow up activities/action items generated from Kaizen events, countermeasure sheets, IDK-cards as required.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 3+ years' experience as a production supervisor in manufacturing leadership role(s).
• Practical knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices and Lean Concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to train machinists on technical and Lean aspects.
• Proven leadership experience to include motivating a team and resolving team issues.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• ISO 9000 quality management experience.

• Associate and/ or bachelor's degree.
• Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineer background.
