Inside the Role

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to establishing a recruitment department best practices, set up vendors, establish social media presence, and supporting the growth of a successful joint venture start up. In addition, as one of the first employees in the Human Resources department, you will have the ability to jump in on a variety of topics outside of your core recruiting role.

Location: The person selected for this position will be required to be located within or near the Memphis Metropolitan Area where the plant will be located (Marshall County, MS).

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies aligned with the hiring needs of the new company.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and proactively address talent gaps.

Candidate Sourcing and Outreach:

  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, state agencies/resources and industry events, to identify and attract top-tier candidates.
  • Build a robust talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop and establish a social media recruitment presence

Interviewing and Assessment:

  • Conduct thorough and insightful interviews with candidates to assess their skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.
  • Collaborate with hiring teams to develop effective assessment tools and interview techniques.

Employer Branding:

  • Enhance the company's employer brand within the battery and manufacturing sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals, educational institutions, and relevant organizations.

Recruitment Process Management:

  • Oversee and streamline the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Manage communication with candidates and internal stakeholders to provide timely updates on the status of recruitment efforts.

Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives:

  • Implement strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates and foster an inclusive hiring environment.
  • Advise on best practices for promoting diversity and inclusion within the hiring process.

Collaboration with Hiring Managers:

  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job descriptions, and establish candidate profiles.
  • Provide guidance on market trends, salary benchmarks, and talent availability.

Recruitment Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilize recruitment metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts.
  • Provide regular reports to management on key recruitment metrics and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on roles within the manufacturing or automotive industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully recruiting for technical and engineering positions along with shop (blue collar) roles including skilled trade roles.
  • Strong knowledge of current recruitment trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, proactive, thrives in a fast paced and dynamic start up environment.
