Our department is a large and complex organization supporting over 8,700 on-campus residents among 49 traditional halls, suites, and apartments, some of which were constructed for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Perform routine and detailing housekeeping services requiring specialized tools and equipment. This position will interact consistently with other custodial staff, including Quality Control Inspectors & Supervisors and building/area occupants. This position typically will advise and counsel NA. This position will supervise NA.

Job Duty 1 -

Perform specialized cleaning operations, typically including spray buffing, burnishing floors, sanitizing trash receptacles, stain removal, window cleaning, etc.

Job Duty 2 -

Strip and refinish floors

Job Duty 3 -

Perform routine housekeeping services as assigned, which generally include emptying trash receptacles, dusting, spot cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service areas, restocking supplies, dusting, damp or wet mopping, and sweeping and vacuuming.

Job Duty 4 -

Operate and maintain power equipment, which may include carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot-cleaning machines, and other powered equipment.

Job Duty 5 -

Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools, and equipment clean and orderly.

Job Duty 6 -

Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required

Job Duty 7 -

Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner

Job Duty 8 -

Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department's service request system.

Job Duty 9 -

Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements

High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma

Required Experience

Two years of job-related experience

Pay: $18.50/hr.

This job requires skills in delivering housekeeping services, including the operation of specialized cleaning equipment and the use of cleaning supplies.
