We are looking for two molecular biology summer interns currently enrolled in an B.S. (junior/senior), M.S. or Ph.D. program with experience in protein biochemistry and characterization methods to help our team develop interaction proteomics assays in plants and in vitro. These assays are a pillar in a comprehensive "model-assay-data' approach to construct and validate protein interaction networks underlying complex phenotypes. One project will focus primarily on the use of affinity purification coupled to mass spectrometry methods; the second will focus on the adaptation of eukaryotic cell-free protein expression systems to analyze protein-protein interactions in vitro.
