POSITION SUMMARY: Person in this position will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, fostering community relationships, fundraising, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. See Essential job functions below. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan in alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
- Continue to transform the organization around a Whole Family Coaching model.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust the strategic plan to adapt to changing community needs and opportunities.
- Fundraising and Resource Development:
- Build and lead a fund development team.
- Identify and secure funding sources, including grans, donations, and partnerships, to support the organization's programs and operations.
- Work with the grants team to apply for a secure federal, state, and local grant to support day-to-day operations.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Program Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of all programs.
- Integrate the Whole Family Coaching model into all programs.
- Ensure programs are effective, efficient, and aligned with the organization's mission.
- Effectively manage outcomes reporting to funders and key stakeholders.
- Financial Management:
- Work with the accounting staff and your management team to develop and manage the organization's budget, ensuring financial sustainability.
- Diversify and grow the organization's funding mix to include more private (unrestricted) and Medicaid fee-for service income streams.
- Monitor financial performance and report to the Community Action Council on the organization's fiscal health.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Raising the skill level of the staff to grow with the organization and the community.
- Focus on operational management and leadership.
- Establishing Strategic Alliances:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, including government agencies, schools, local businesses, and non-profit organizations.
- Represent the organization at public events, meetings, and conferences.
- Develop strong informal and formal partnerships with other community members to deliver services.
- Advocacy and Public Relations:
- Advocate for policies and initiatives that benefit the organization's constituents and mission.
- Effectively communicate the organization's impact and goals to the public and media.
- Represent East End as the chief spokesperson for the organization.
- Develop and enhance working relationships with local, state, and federal government leaders.
- Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Strong understanding of education, workforce, addiction and mental health issues, and community development services.
- A passion for working with children and families to provide hope and a path forward.
- An understanding of prevention services and the role they play in developing health and positive futures for children and families.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising and resource development.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding the complexity of diverse and under-resourced community and families.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a positive team environment.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served.
- Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal background clearance
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance is required; and
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
- During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Proven leadership experience in the non-profit sector, with a minimum of five (5) years of executive-level management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Not applicable for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting.
- Travel throughout the community and state is required.
