The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 200 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe. The CSIS Global Health Policy Center (GHPC) works with diverse stakeholders to make U.S. global health efforts more strategic, integrated, and sustainable, as well as to raise awareness of global health and its importance to U.S. national security. The key focus areas include global health security, HIV/AIDS, women's and children's health, nutrition and food security, the sustainability of U.S. bilateral and multilateral global health initiatives, and the burden of infectious diseases. The ideal candidate will have an educational and/or professional background in global health/health and some experience in project management. S/he should be able to work concurrently on multiple activities and projects and be adaptive and reflexive to changing operational needs. S/he must be able to multi-task, seek clarification and guidance as appropriate, prioritize competing demands, and effectively communicate. The minimum annual salary for this position is $55,000. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide administrative support to the Global Health Policy Center staff, including drafting correspondence and memos and contributing to the preparation of multimedia products. KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in Global Health, International Relations, International Development, Public Policy/Administration, or related field.
