Job Summary

AMAROK is seeking an intern to join our Marketing Team. The entry-level Marketing Intern will assist the Sales & Marketing Organization in daily activities across several marketing mediums such as: SEM, SEO, content management, social media and will gain exposure to CRM systems like Salesforce.com. The selected intern must demonstrate eagerness and willingness to learn a wide variety of material and promotional avenues within marketing.

Scheduling is flexible as we recognize that academics always come first! We will happily accommodate to your schedule.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Assisting the VP of Marketing and supporting the sales organization with marketing activities
  • Assisting with the production of marketing materials and literature
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and communicate it in a clear and effective way
  • Coordinating the production of a wide range of marketing communications
  • Providing support for marketing events and exhibitions as required
  • Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature
  • Writing articles and promotional material for the company
  • Preparing interesting content for our website
  • Uploading marketing material to online libraries, Internet groups and social media sites
  • Updating and maintaining the marketing department's documentation and databases
  • Managing events, booking venues and ordering marketing materials


Qualifications



  • Pursuing a degree in marketing (not essential but an advantage)
  • Personable, presentable and articulate
  • Effective project management skills
  • Ability to analyze data sets to determine the effectiveness of a product or campaign
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign and Adobe PhotoShop
  • Strong administration and organizational skills
  • Ability to be in office a minimum of 10-15 hours/week - we are located on campus!
