Press Operator

Are you ready to take on the role of Press Operator at Advantage Resourcing in Chapman, AL? We're seeking skilled individuals to join our team!

Pay: $17.30/hr

Schedule: Work hours vary based on facility needs, including overtime, holiday, and weekend shifts.

As a Press Operator, you'll be responsible for operating the pre-press and press machinery to manufacture plywood according to established quality standards. In addition to overseeing production, you'll also perform plant clean-up duties to maintain a safe and organized workspace. Key responsibilities include ensuring equipment efficiency, providing maintenance input to the Supervisor, and maintaining proper settings for pressure gauges and press temperatures. You'll also be responsible for notifying supervisors of any issues, maintaining equipment cleanliness, ensuring glue tackiness, and completing paperwork accurately. Throughout your tasks, you'll adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, rules, signs, and memos.
• Basic mathematical skills for counting and performing simple calculations.
• Understanding of production numbers, goals, and quotas.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
