Position description The Department of Political Science is seeking applicants for temporary part-time lecturer positions to teach in different subfields of American Politics, Political Theory, International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Law contingent on departmental need. These positions will replace faculty on leave during the academic year. Requirements: We are seeking candidates with strong teaching credentials who might contribute to our undergraduate program. Candidates should have a Ph.D. These part-time positions are based on an annual salary range beginning at $64,329 and the number of courses could vary. Service Period Dates for 2024-2025 Academic Year: Fall Quarter: 9/23/24 - 12/13/24 Winter Quarter: 1/2/25 - 3/21/25 Spring Quarter: 3/26/25 - 6/13/25 Application Procedure - Interested applicants should submit a letter of application, vita, three letters of reference, evidence of teaching performance, a reflective teaching statement and a Statement of Contributions to Diversity via our online recruit system: https://recruit.ap.uci.edu/JPF08924 Priority for positions will be given to applications completed by May 1st, 2024. Appointments vary based on need and availability. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Ph.D. in Political Science or a relevant field.
