This position plays an integral role in the divisions as a contracts and grants analyst providing expert and comprehensive financial, analytical and administrative oversight for our investigators' contracts, grants and clinical trials. This position prepares fiscal and statistical data, short- and long-term projections and all phases of cost recovery analysis. The analyst serves as liaison and collaborates with many departments, UCD offices, federal and state sponsors and many other institutions in the administration of our multi-disciplinary research program. The position provides expertise to support and submit pre-award proposals and conduct post award activities including forecasting, budgeting and reconciliations for grants and in support of clinical trials. The analyst also manages external contracts for assigned faculty, including VA IPA's, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Department Description Combined, the divisions of Hematology and Oncology (H/O) and Malignant Hematology/ Cellular Therapy & Transplantation (MH/CTT) are among the largest of 14 divisions in the Department of Internal Medicine. The divisions are comprised of more than 40 faculty and staff physicians, 30 advanced practice providers (APP), more than 40 administrative/finance/research staff members, and ongoing faculty, staff and APP recruitments. The divisions operates large and diverse clinical and research programs in which the faculty are leaders in Oncology, Hematology, Hemophilia, Sickle Cell, Cellular and Gene Therapies, Bone Marrow Transplant, and Thrombosis research and houses the faculty leaders of the Cancer Control and PET imaging programs. The divisions are a major component of the NCI-designated UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and have a strong presence in developmental therapeutics. Position Information
