Job Summary: The Manager-Clinic Liaison is responsible for managing staff who assists physician practices with the daily operations related to the scheduling of patient visits, financial clearance and coordination of care; as well as managing the Central Scheduling teams who receive inbound calls and work appointment queues and requests by making outbound calls. Serves as a liaison between the hospital / physician practices and the Access Center. Serves as an intermediary with questions and issue resolution. Interfaces with physicians, employees and patients maintaining positive relationships with the ability to delegate and coordinate responsibilities. In some instances, may need to be a working manager at peak times of operation. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required or an additional five years of relevant work experience required. Minimum three years of related leadership, project or management experience required. Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Business development/client management/sales experience in healthcare preferred. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
