Strategic Communications Specialist

The Opportunity:

As a communications specialist on our team, you'll advance your consulting skills to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of strategic communications activities that support our client.

In this role, you'll formulate communications strategies and key messages in clear and concise language. You will leverage change management best practices to support our client's innovative IT modernization initiatives and public health mission. You'll develop, write, edit, and deliver both enterprise-wide and targeted internal communications products and informational materials, and you'll be responsible for creating and managing tailored communications campaigns from end to end.

You'll shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to develop roll out strategies, technology adoption campaigns, and other effective communication methods to meet program goals. You will identify and prioritize product deliverables in a client-ready format and meet deadlines independently while regularly collaborating with clients to clarify technical topics. You'll navigate evolving company communication processes and establish best practice guidelines for communication and engagement. You'll also provide logistical assistance with coordinating meetings and events with internal and external partners.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with communications

  • Experience with writing, editing, and communications planning while adhering to organizational approval and clearance processes

  • Experience with developing change management communications and executing plans to improve the adoption of new technology products

  • Experience with writing and editing workforce messages and newsletterarticles

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize the most important tasks

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
