The shipping/receiving clerk provides the initial inspection of incoming commercial items from suppliers and the final quality check on the orders to the customer. They help to promote the high standard of customer service that Maag has built. They ensure that all orders are received accurately and shipped on time to our customers.

• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Tracks, tracesand updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Operates a forklift to load/unload trucks and to remove/replace items on inventory shelves.
• Inspects, identifies, tags and receives all commercial items ordered from suppliers
• Packs items securely for shipment on UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL and truck shipments.
• Uses current business system to print packing slips and identification tags for sales orders.
• Works with purchasing to resolve discrepancies on incoming shipments from suppliers.
• Pulls, issues and delivers items for job orders spare part orders, projects, and inventory.
• Maintains an accurate inventory transaction in SAP.
• Operates a handheld scanner and accurately counts inventory daily.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and efficient workarea.
• Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Other tasks as assigned by the manager.

While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a warehouse situation and subject to changing environmental conditions. Including, but not limited to: temperature variations, humidity, rain, snow, wind and direct sunlight.

Mandatory

• High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus).
• Basic computer skills.

Desirable

• Willingness to learn new skills to advance in the company.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP R3 a plus.
