MINIMUM PAY RATE:$49,497.49 annually

POSITION SUMMARY
Primary responsibility is to provide athletic operations support to the Joliet Junior College Athletic Department. This includes travel and transportation scheduling, game day operations, internal and external rentals, and oversight of athletic operations staff. This position will also provide oversight of external facilities, game day support and preparations for competition.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for all transportation needs including rentals or institutional vehicles for athletic teams in collaboration with the Athletic Operations Assistant.
2. Responsible for processing vehicles, fuel, toll road, student-athlete meal diem and other travel related expenses in Workday (or system of record).
3. Maintain accurate accounting of per diem expenditures in collaboration with the Head Coaches including verification of students on roster traveling; reconciliation of per diem expenses after away competitions.
4. Work collaboratively with Assistant Athletic Director and Building Assistant to coordinate the scheduling for game days and verify staffing needs
5. Responsible for managing game day operations for home events.
6. Assist in scheduling internal and external rentals in athletic facilities with college scheduling system.
7. Oversee maintenance of indoor and outdoor facilities.
8. Coordinate with the Assistant Athletic Director and staff the concession stand operations.
9. Maintain contract agreements with Assistant Athletic Director for internal and external rentals.
10. Assist Director of Athletics with community involvement and partnerships providing leadership and support
11. Serve as assistant baseball coach with all accompanying responsibilities including assisting with scheduling, transportation, day-to-day operations, recruitment, statistics, and media. Provide on-site coaching at practices and games in role of assistant coach.
12. Weekends and evenings required.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with a focus on education, sports management, or a related field; or in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, must have an Associate's Degree or equivalent, plus five (5) years of related experience.
2. Experience in athletic operations and game day management.
3. Valid Driver's License.
4. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
5. Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Background in pitching.
2. Coaching experience in high school, college, or professional experience.
3. Computer experience and technology skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Workday system.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability and willingness to work cooperatively with a diverse population.
5. Experience in advising traditional age students in a higher education setting; some direct experience with student-athletes and baseball coaching experience.
6. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
7. Demonstrated multicultural competence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Normal office physical demands.
2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.
3. The employee is often required to stand, walk, run, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS
* Duties are performed indoors and outdoors daily, as weather conditions permit, in the athletics environment. Noise level can be moderate to loud.
