Summary: The Patient & Community Outreach Manager develops and implements strategies in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's goals (LLS) including: conduct outreach to raise awareness and connect more patients with LLS, as soon after diagnosis as possible, with an emphasis on underserved populations; provide ongoing support and education and facilitate access to quality care for patients and caregivers; and build healthcare provider and community relationships to increase referrals of blood cancer patients and caregivers to LLS. The Patient & Community Outreach Manager will provide or coordinate information, services, community education, and outreach to patients and caregivers, survivors, and healthcare professionals in their coverage areas. This role will serve as a key mission leader in the region for which they are responsible. Reports to: Patient & Community Outreach Senior Manager or Patient & Community Outreach Director, Senior Director, or Territory Executive Director Supervises: Volunteers; in some cases, a Community Outreach Specialist or temporary staff.
