Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor Job Summary: As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will oversee the accounts payable function and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. You will lead a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Your role is critical in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring the organization's financial obligations are met efficiently. Responsibilities: Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, including processing invoices, expense reports, and payments. Review and approve invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Ensure timely and accurate posting of invoices to the general ledger and reconcile accounts payable transactions. Manage vendor relationships, including resolving billing discrepancies, addressing inquiries, and negotiating payment terms. Develop and implement accounts payable policies, procedures, and controls to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Monitor and analyze accounts payable aging reports to identify overdue invoices and manage cash flow effectively. Prepare and review month-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and finance, to resolve issues and improve cross-functional processes. Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and technology solutions related to accounts payable. Qualifications: Proven experience in accounts payable, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures. Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards related to accounts payable.
