Job Description

The Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Consortium (PCCTC) is currently hiring an experienced Medical Writer to join our dynamic clinical research team. Join us today and help make a difference every day!

We are the nation's premier multicenter Clinical Research Organization specializing in ground breaking prostate cancer research. We work together with distinguished investigators on a single mission: to design, implement and complete studies in prostate cancer, translating scientific discoveries to improved standards of care.

You are:

    Adept at creating partnerships and collaborating with others to meet shared objectives and goals.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to the highest quality in your work and excellence in medical writing, including content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format and consistency with strong attention to detail

You will:

  • Collaborate with members of cross-functional teams to prepare, author and edit high-quality clinical study documents including Protocols, Investigator's Brochures, Synopses, Clinical Study Reports, and regulatory documents.
  • Conduct literature searches and perform accuracy reviews for medical communications content and data.
  • Manage assignments and document review processes, working closely with study team members to meet timelines and goals.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions for preparation and maintenance of compliant medical writing deliverables
  • Stay current on medical writing best practices and regulatory guidelines through literature reviews and continuing education.

You need:

  • Four to seven years' professional work experience in medical writing, publishing and/or editing; AMWA Medical Writer certification a plus
  • Experience with clinical research; prostate cancer trials a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology; technical publishing; news media, print, and web-based writing processes.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand and communicate complex information.

This is a full-time remote position with the possibility of occasional in-person meetings in New York City.
