Wieland is hiring a Process Engineer Intern. The Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for 3D scanning and reverse engineering machine parts, developing CAD models of parts, trouble-shooting equipment challenges, supporting PLC coding, and creating solutions while gaining hands-on experience. This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $15/hr

Schedule: 40 hours a week



Responsibilities

Process Engineer Intern Responsibilities:

3 engineering intern projects are available:

    1) 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and 3D modeling
    • -This student will be involved with 3D scanning and reverse engineering of machine parts and developing CAD models and detailed drawing of parts.
  • 2) Design and develop new and improved shipping container for copper tubing
    • -This student will be involved in designing a new and improved shipping container for copper tubing. This container must be designed to be very durable and to collapse so that it can shipped to customers with product ant then shipped back to Wieland Pine Hall.
  • 3) Finishing Line improvements
    • -This student will be involved with trouble-shooting equipment challenges, supporting PLC coding, learning sensor function and application, creating solutions and helping implement change and gaining hands-on experience.

Process Engineer Intern Qualifications:

  • Pursuing education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Mechanical or industrial skills to work alongside our engineering teams
  • Self starting attidute
  • Willing to learn hands on skills
