Overview

Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure ICE Clear Credit remains in compliance with constantly evolving regulatory reporting obligations. The role also supports ICE Clear Credit and ICE Link by working with business sponsors and the development team to deliver business intelligence and interactive visualization and reporting capabilities for internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work with the legal and compliance departments to identify and document upcoming changes to regulations, and any regulations becoming relevant due to new business activities, perform gap analysis to identify and document new reporting capabilities required to meet the changing regulations, and work with business and technology stakeholders to design and implement these capabilities.

The successful candidate is expected to respond to questions and requests from regulators. Some of these requests are complex and urgent in nature, which will require an ability to work under pressure, rapidly analyzing and validating data, and concisely communicating the responses.

As a senior analyst, the incumbent will need to be a proactive self-starter able to take responsibility for key deliverables and have the technical background and confidence to work with business domain experts in risk, treasury, operations, business development and sales teams.

The areas involved are numerous and complex. Regulatory and business reporting requires an understanding of end-to-end trade and information flows involving multi-jurisdictional trade execution on a variety of venues, post-trade affirmation, allocation, novation, clearing and swap data repository integration, in addition to risk management, collateral management and operational functions of the clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, document, socialize and maintain in summarized form [HR1] existing and future regulatory reporting requirements relevant to ICE Clear Credit and ICE Link.
  • Liaze with Swap Data Repositories and reporting data sources for implanting updates and coordinating reconciliation with the clearinghouse.
  • Engage with internal and external business stakeholders to understand their reporting, analytics, and visualization requirements.
  • Identify, design, and work with the development team to deliver new reporting and business intelligence capabilities required to meet existing and future regulatory and business needs.
  • Remain engaged with business stakeholders during the iterative design and implementation process to ensure expectations are set appropriately and capabilities delivered against the established timeline and requirements.
  • Provide thought leadership in the innovative and effective display, visualisation, and interactive manipulation of large data sets.
  • Key aspects of the role include business process analysis, key metric definition, data sourcing manipulation and analysis, review and analysis of regulations, prototyping, business requirement definition, functional report and analytics design and testing.

Knowledge and Experience

  • College degree or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of financial services experience in OTC markets.
  • 2+ years of experience reading, understanding, and summarizing regulations, and synthesizing into reporting and business intelligence requirements.
  • Strong technical skills, including SQL and advanced Excel with working knowledge of VBA.
  • A logical and analytical approach; high level of numeracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience designing and implementing OTC/CDS regulatory reporting solutions for a dealer, futures commission merchant / broker-dealer, execution venue, clearinghouse, and/or swaps data repository.
  • Experience working with OTC/CDS clearing and execution related data feeds, interfaces, workflows, and reference data.
  • Programming experience in a relevant language such as Python, Matlab, R, C#, Java.
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau and business objects.
  • Training and experience with IT development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.
