Associated Clinic of Psychology (ACP) is looking for superstars to join our team!
We are seeking an LPN or Medical Assistant to join our growing Psychiatric Assistant team. This position provides a great opportunity to support clients with mental health conditions in the community and is a key component of the care that ACP provides.
Candidates must exercise sound judgment and discretion and demonstrate initiative, loyalty, cooperation, and dependability when performing assigned tasks and responsibilities. In carrying out the position's requirements, confidential working relationships with management, clinical staff, administrative staff, and clients must be maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and triage calls - take messages left by clients and forward vital information to the provider
- Provide administrative assistance to the provider
- Administer injections
- Collect urine and saliva samples for lab testing
- Prepare and submit prior authorizations medications
- Immediately alert the provider of crisis calls follow ACP protocols for handling
- Document all client interactions/voicemails or actions taken regarding client care
- Review and process all prescription refill requests following ACP protocols and per the provider's orders
- Communicate messages and psychoeducation from providers to clients
- Return calls to clients within the required time frame
- Coordinate with case managers, group homes, etc
- Maintain proper drug disposal procedure and documentation, following
- Hazardous Waste policy and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Active LPN or MA Certification
- Knowledge of mental health and psychiatric services
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Previous computer experience with the ability to learn new applications and work processes
- Good prioritization skills, data entry skills, dependable and team player
- Good multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
- Ability to promote and maintain a flexible, positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude within and between departments
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to quality
- Demonstrate a "can-do" spirit, a sense of optimism, ownership, and commitment
- High level of professionalism and demonstrated comfort level in speaking directly to external and internal providers/patients
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
