METI is seeking a professional Facilities Manager. In this role, you'll be at the heart of supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division. Duties:

  • Collaborate, consolidate, and devise recommended strategies for addressing long-term facilities and laboratory requirements at NSWC PHD facilities
  • Attend routine meetings to receive assignments and provide updates on assigned tasks.
  • Conduct daily inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure functionality, cleanliness, safety, environmental compliance, security, maintenance, repair needs, and ongoing projects.
  • Assist in the placement of signage, such as notices for out-of-order facilities or ongoing maintenance, within designated buildings to inform occupants of inspection outcomes and ongoing corrective actions.
  • Manage the submission, approval, updating, monitoring, and closure of facilities service tickets in the Service Now maintenance software to resolve deficiencies and address issues encountered during inspections or reported by building occupants.
  • Generate and submit work order requests for routine, urgent, and emergency service calls, as well as work packages for project-level tasks identified during inspections or assigned work.
  • Facilitate building access and provide escort services for NAVFAC technicians and commercial vendors to support corrective actions for service calls and project work.
  • Develop schedules and oversee the tracking of facilities-related action items until resolution, while keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Provide assistance and support to local NBVC emergency response personnel, including police, fire, ambulance, and rescue teams, as needed.
  • Conduct market research and assist with data entry for the procurement of goods and services required to support assigned service calls and projects.
  • Maintain documentation for facilities building representatives, including building maps, Fire Evacuation Plans, inspection results, project schedules, and briefs, on appropriate digital platforms (e.g., Wiki, Teams, etc.) and within designated buildings.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in periodic departmental facilities update reviews and informational meetings, including responding to departmental requests for information (RFIs).
  • Perform non-technical tasks such as replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and assembling/disassembling furniture as needed.
  • Collaborate with local site management, NAVFAC, and NSWC PHD facilities to prioritize and resolve short-term and interim-term facility issues.
  • Complete training and contribute to the development of acquisition packages to support SAP procurements, OFD, MILSTRIP, Material and Service Contracts, and PCARDs.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Facilities Division and Branch Management.



Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance and have the ability to maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Corporate Business Functions.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
