THE JOB

As a Pool Specialist, your primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness of the pools, spas, ponds, and other water features on the property. You will also perform additional maintenance tasks as required by management. All duties must be carried out in accordance with departmental and MGM Grand policies, practices, and procedures.

THE PAY RATE: Starting at $20.10/hr

THE DAY TO DAY

• Perform routine to complex cleaning of pools, spas, ponds, fountains, and other water features, ensuring they are kept clean and well-maintained at all times.

• Maintain accurate records of water feature cleaning activities using established procedures to track maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with standards.

• Equipment and Work Area Maintenance: Keep all equipment and work areas clean, neat, and orderly, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

• Operate equipment as needed to maintain the pools, spas, ponds, fountains, and other water features, following proper procedures and safety protocols.

• Advise the Water Quality Lead of any unusual conditions or issues related to the water features and complete daily report cards before the end of each shift.

• Identify equipment that requires repairs, adjustments, or replacement, and report such issues to management for prompt resolution.

• Responsible for completing all assigned tasks by Dispatch or Management in a timely and efficient manner.

• Stay informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods related to water feature maintenance, seeking opportunities for professional development.

• Maintain constant awareness of safety protocols and accident prevention measures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

• Perform assigned duties during emergencies, following established procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff.

• Perform any other job-related duties as requested by management to support the overall operation of the property.

• General knowledge of water pumps and systems

• Cleaning filtration knowledge

• Excellent communication skills

• Willingness to thrive in a working environment

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 18 years of age or older

• High school diploma or equivalent experience

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

• Physical ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Must obtain CPO Certification within 90 days of employment
