ECFE Teacher - Early Childhood
Part-Time 180 days/year; 6 hours/day (All staff are required to work at least one evening per week)

Location: Blaine Early Childhood Center

Early Childhood Family Education provides early learning opportunities for children and their families. The programs run 31-36 weeks per year, including summer classes with classes located throughout the school district.
ECFE is a parenting and early childhood education program that provides classes, home visits, special family events and other services for parents and their children age birth to five.

Duties: Prepare and conduct 1-11 ECFE classes a week. Facilitate individual, group, and classroom activities for ECFE classes. Be familiar with area resources. Maintain records and participate in staff meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Current MN Teaching License in Early Childhood Education / Parent Education and BA degree. Ability to work with parents and children, age birth to five, one on one or in groups; knowledge of family systems, adults and child development; group facilitator skills; strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Rate of pay: $32.61/hour and up, DOQ.

Start Date: 8/29/24. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days (after: 4/18/24) by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 1 or Tier 2 license, or OFP (Out of Field Permission) after a 15-day posting period.
