Jr. Oracle Applications Analyst

The Jr. Oracle Applications Analyst Professional serves as a liaison between DT and business clients. Works with the customer to conduct business process modeling, analyze system requirements, and review/produce specifications for any new projects or change requests to existing software. Collaborates with management and the development team to ensure they understand the specifications, document system scenarios, and to help develop a change management/training plan.


Essential Functions

Strategy & Planning



  • Work with team to achieve weekly and quarterly work plans.
  • Recommend improvements for system process.
  • Research tools and solutions to identify those that can best help serve the needs of clients.


Acquisition & Deployment



  • Participate in efforts to gather requirements, complete analysis and create design documents.
  • Plan and organize for assigned tasks and report progress in defined intervals.



Operational Management



  • Aid in developing solutions to leverage Oracle applications functionality for the Human Resources, Recruiting and Compensation and suggest process improvements. Oracle HCM Cloud, or equivalent HCM solution (i.e., Workday or SAP/ SuccessFactors) experience preferred.
  • Assist with the testing of application and database changes, installation of upgrades, patches and new versions, interacting with Development, Business Process Owners and Infrastructure teams.
  • Assist the technical team in the development of reports, conversions, interfaces, and extensions for Oracle Applications.
  • Understand and modify the application configuration as required (includes system setups, flex-fields, workflow builder, profile options etc.).
  • Provide basic application functional and production support.
  • Assist users with problems and resolves issues independently or with guidance as needed.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Work with existing systems to track and manage requirements and issues.
  • Track client issues and problems, and work with others when necessary to provide a resolution.

Incidental Functions

  • Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.


Formal Education & Certification



  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.



Knowledge & Experience



  • 0-1+ years IT experience
  • 1+ years in Human Resources application configuration experience. Oracle HCM Cloud, or equivalent HCM solution (i.e., Workday or SAP/ SuccessFactors) experience preferred.
  • 1+ years' experience in support of software applications is preferred
  • Good systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies.
  • Demonstrated skill in preparation and maintenance of implementation documents.
  • Understanding of essential business functions to translate business requirements into system configurations.

This position works in the office three days a week and is eligible to work remotely two days a week.
