As an Analytics and Data Science Intern at the New York Blood Center, you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of data analytics, data engineering, and software engineering. This role is designed to give you hands-on experience with real-world projects, enhancing your skills in data manipulation, analysis, and software development.

Data Analysis:
• Assist in analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights.
• Utilize statistical methods to interpret data and generate reports.
• Work on data visualization to represent findings effectively.
• Data Engineering:
  • Collaborate in designing and maintaining database architecture.
  • Assist in data integration, warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Learn and apply data quality assurance techniques.
• Software Engineering:
  • Participate in developing software tools for data processing and analysis.
  • Engage in code reviews and software testing.
  • Contribute to the improvement of existing software systems.

Education:

Currently pursuing degree in [Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis or performing duties in a related area.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hourly salary is $16.00p/hr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
