Job Description

The Intern - Talent Acquisition is responsible for assisting the Talent Acquisition Team with attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, scheduling and conducting initial interviews

What your day will look like:
  • Work efficiently and effectively to fill open positions and collaborate as part of the team to achieve fulfillment goals
  • Source candidates by using databases and social media
  • Create recruiting campaigns
  • Evaluate and screen resumes, cover letters and applications
  • Use assignments to assess candidates' skills
  • Conduct initial interviews using MS Teams or in person
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews
  • Attend job fairs and careers events
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Applicant Tracking System Knowledge
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusting relationships
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Frequent sitting, typing, and keying
  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability, customer service, initiative, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews
  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g. structured, competency based and behavioral)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement
