The RoleAspen Technology has an immediate need for an IT Technical Program Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing critical components of the overall roadmap of internal, cross-functional projects, ensuring project teams have the resources required to successfully execute. We are looking for a detail-oriented Program/Project Management professional with deep experience who can lead multiple, diverse project teams. Your Impact
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives (technical and/or process oriented) utilizing Smartsheet.
  • Partner with the EPMO Director and IT leadership to understand and prioritize project opportunities.
  • Lead program review meetings to communicate project status, address risks/issues, and celebrate wins.
  • Hold project sponsors and teams accountable to their commitments and ensure teams have the tools, training, and discipline required to perform effectively.
  • Monitor project status; evaluate progress and quality; proactively manage and execute issue resolution and risk mitigation processes.
  • Partner with project sponsors and Value Assurance to report project analytics and outcomes.
  • Consult in project estimating activities including effort and resource needs.
  • Rearchitect processes to ensure world-class efficiency and effectiveness for project execution.
  • Work with resource managers to develop and implement program-level resource plans.
  • Develop and implement sourcing schedule to ensure workforce coverage.
  • Coordinate project schedules and partner with release management on deployment schedules.
  • Help to record achievements, project expenses, and measures for success.
  • Be an active participant in the continuous growth and improvement of the EPMO.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related technical field from an accredited university.
  • 7-13 years of experience as a Project or Program Manager in a technical and/or business process improvement discipline. Experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies is required.
  • PMP and/or PMI-ACP certification (or equivalent) strongly desired.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with SmartSheet, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and related application experience strongly desired.
  • Strong self-starter who can join the team and make an immediate positive impact.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to coordinate multiple task completions timely and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail. Ability to proactively manage risks and resolve problems.
  • Executive presence and comfortable presenting updates in front of senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a matrixed team.
