Job Summary

Under the supervision of management of the UCSF Fresno Office of Health Career Pathways (OHCP), the Program Liaison will perform tasks related to maintaining SJV MedBridge (California Medicine Scholars Program) databases, analyzing data outcomes related to UCSF Fresno's educational pathway programs, assist with pre-health learner outreach, and support programming and event in meeting funding deliverables. The Program Liaison will attend trainings and events relevant to current health professional entrance requirements, perform analysis, visualization, and distribution of program data to aid with strategic planning and decision-making. This position will also provide additional support for SJV MedBridge programming endeavors integral in decision making for future offerings and programming for learners through the assigned role.

  • Maintains pathway program files and data, which may include individual learner files as well as program documentation in accordance with relevant regulatory and University policies. At the direction of department leadership, creates learner assessment documentation, including assessment tools and assessment strategies / timelines. Generates regular reports of individual and aggregate learner progress and assessment. Maintains and analyzes data related to UCSF Fresno's educational pipeline programs by following established protocols; cleaning, inputting, processing, retrieving, and analyzing data, and performing various clerical and editorial duties, as needed.
  • Coordinate and implement the SJV MedBridge program with a focus on providing equitable access and opportunities to aspiring health professionals. Coordinates implementation of educational activities for aspiring health professional learners who completed department programs and other health pathway programs, which may include program competencies, curriculum, and college level programming. Traveling as needed to accomplish job responsibilities. Fosters an environment of collaboration between educational institutions and the department. Participates in program and / or departmental work groups, teams, task forces and committees to support ongoing health professions education program functions. Assists with a variety of projects to provide solutions to improve educational or administrative operations. May work with others to achieve project objectives.
  • At the direction of department leadership, creates program and curricular evaluation documentation, including evaluation tools (e.g. Qualtrics) and strategies / timelines. Generates regular evaluation reports and data visualization based on programming needs. May also be involved with compliance and informational requests from external agencies. Responds to inquiries from learners and staff regarding educational technology and systems. Trouble shoots and triages issues. Assists in monitoring and reviewing the user experience.
  • Serves as point person for prospective and current health professions learners to answer questions and disseminate program information. Maintains program communication resources, which may include maintenance of program website to ensure current requirements are posted; creating or updating program outreach materials; manage program marketing and collateral production; and maintaining email or mailing address lists.
  • Assist with other department events and programming as needed. Other duties and tasks as assigned in support of LaCMER programs.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $24.28 - $51.48 An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate, position requirements, AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications


  • Experience working with learners.
  • Knowledge of data collection, research and analysis techniques.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, Google Suites and databases.
  • Understanding of rural and urban populations, first generation college student experiences, and underserved communities to create rapport and working relationships with learners, while also providing insight to realistic expectations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail. Includes ability to work with extremely complex schedules which requires a well organized and detail oriented precision.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and time management skills with the ability to complete work, meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner, and to manage short and competing deadlines.
  • Detail oriented and ability to work independently.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships within department and with learners.
  • Ability to use sound judgement in responding to issues and concerns.
  • Ability to maintain good rapport and relationships with stakeholders and community organizations.
  • Ideally and individually currently in the process of applying to medical school and has familiarity with the application process or willing to learn.
