Depending on experience of the selected candidate, the department is looking to hire a candidate between the minimum and mid range of this pay scale. The UCSD Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences is composed of 67 faculty 15 clinical fellows. The department is composed of 7 divisions: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Hospitalist, Family Planning and Urogynecologic and Reconstructive Surgery. The department is currently ranked 3rd in the nation in NIH funding among ObGyn departments. Independently perform a full range of administrative and laboratory organizational activities for Faculty, Principal Investigators, Post Doc Scholars, Visiting Scholars, Volunteers, and Students, in a busy research laboratory setting. Provide administrative support for Training Grants, Center Grants, WRHR grant, and graduate courses, handle ordering and tracking shipments. Provide support for personnel in laboratories using Oracle. Manage spreadsheet development and maintenance. Recognize and communicate problems to the group by explaining pertinent issues and identifying and recommending potential solutions. Monitor the arrival of all Visiting Graduate students, Visiting scholar, Postdoctoral Scholars and Volunteers. Assist with event planning as needed. Independently order laboratory supplies through Oracle, monitor recharges, standing orders, and reimbursements including but not limited to travel in Concur, entertainment, membership dues. Act as Lead Oracle and Concur purchasing and travel subject matter expert managing all escalation matters and resolve issues. Schedule, coordinate, and attend meetings. Type and edit correspondence, CVs, bibliographies, academic files, hospital credentialing privileges, etc. Responsible for monitoring faculty research and clinical calendars proactively. Under direct supervision of staff research associate, the incumbent will maintain inventory and documentation of biospecimens, and assist with the biospecimen transfer. Assist Lab staff with KUALI, Uploading/downloading IRB documents, providing IRB documents, IT request, and HR requests. Assist Maternal Fetal Medicine Division and Business Office as needed. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $40,700 - $81,850 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $19.49 - $39.20 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
