Spec Reimbursement Patient Accounts - REMOTE

Overview

The Reimbursement Specialists Patient Accounts resolves billing related inquiries from patients, providers, and other internal customers through inbound calls.

Responsibility



  1. Engage with patients through various communication channels including telephone, email, and live chat, while also providing support to clinicians, insurers, and the management team to facilitate prompt account collections.
  2. Work aged accounts, researching and reconciling credit balance accounts and processing adjustments as needed.
  3. Review patient insurance coverage for genetic testing.
  4. Document activities appropriately in process notes.
  5. Participate in Quality Assurance plan.
  6. Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations.


Qualifications



  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  2. 1+ years of experience in customer service/call center, working in medical billing, health insurance, or collections preferred.
  3. Excellent customer service and phone skills, with good problem solving and decision-making skills.
  4. Excellent time management, organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
  5. Insurance billing experience with working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding preferred.
  6. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.


Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements -light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements -stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
