Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Manufacturing Engineer Level I to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer Level I, you will play a key role in supporting various aspects of the manufacturing process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our production operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Process Support and Improvement:

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, troubleshoot production issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth workflow and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, and inspection, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

CAD/CAM Support:

  • Assist in the creation and modification of CAD models and drawings to support manufacturing processes, product development, and tooling design.
  • Work closely with design engineers and technicians to translate design specifications into manufacturing instructions and production plans.
  • Gain proficiency in CAM software and basic CNC programming techniques to support machining operations and toolpath optimization.

Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Support quality assurance activities by assisting in the development and implementation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and statistical process control (SPC) methods.
  • Participate in quality audits, process validations, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in product quality and reliability.

Documentation and Training:

  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process control plans.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to production operators on new processes, equipment, and quality requirements to ensure adherence to established procedures and standards.
  • Support knowledge sharing initiatives and participate in cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and collaboration across departments.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a passion for manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and familiarity with engineering drawings and design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and machining principles.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally, with a willingness to take on new challenges and expand technical expertise.
