Ti Title: Financial Analyst - Office of Chief Medical Executive $60,000 - $80,000 / Posted Thru: 4-28-24 Location: Remote/Virtual - Must Live and Work in Michigan Purpose: This position functions as a financial analyst for the Office of the Chief Medical Executive. The financial analyst will be tasked with monitoring of spending on grants and contracts, facilitating amendments to contracts, and liaising with partners on behalf of the Chief Medical Executive programs. Qualifications/Requirements: Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience: A minimum of one-year related experience in contracts, budget compliance, record keeping, financial report preparation, and grant requirements or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with State of Michigan systems and policies/procedures preferred. Important Skills and Characteristics:
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Standard office environment. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility. IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This person is a key member of the MDHHS Opioid Policy Team and is responsible for monitoring and communicating key financial information between the program and partners internal and external to MDHHS. Through collaboration with program staff, the financial liaison will develop protocols for monitoring contracts and budgets, develop and amend agreements, and provide expert customer service in a timely, professional, and comprehensive manner so we can continue to grow our program.
