The Director of Contracts will be responsible for leading and managing all functions of the Contracts Department including, but not limited to negotiating and contracting for Clinical, GME and UME professional services on behalf of UCR School of Medicine (SOM), and the UCR Medical Group, the faculty practice group of the SOM, as well as sustaining a clear contracting workflow. The incumbent will also serve as a key UCR SOM representative with all internal and external parties in order to timely research and resolve contract-related operational issues, as well as act as liaison to health plans, referral medical groups, and other third party payers to ensure ongoing satisfaction with UCR SOM and/or UCOP regulations. The incumbent will review all contractual supporting documentation essential to the development of contract negotiation and work closely with Campus Council in the review of all contracts. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and reviewing all contract files, including the appropriate supporting documentation submitted by the contract requesting department. This may include fair market valuations, conflict of interest/business associate/exclusions screenings, insurance certificates, corporation searches, business licenses, etc. Also, the incumbent will ensure accurate tracking of contract expirations dates, prepare regular contracts status reports for SOM department managers and leadership teams, and address compliance-related issues as needed. The incumbent must possess very strong working relationships and negotiation skills/techniques, in order to effectively build and sustain effective collaborative efforts with internal and external affiliates.

The full salary range for this position is $87,300 - $163,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $130,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
