This position is full time. Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6am - 5pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret member Health plan benefits
• Identify and configure necessary additions, changes and deletions to new and existing configuration design

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
• Experience with windows based products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
• Experience working in a Medical office, Healthcare facility, and or Medical Insurance company
• Experience with Health Plan interpretation and member benefits
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Professional and Institutional Medical claims.
• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions given in written or verbal form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Hawaii / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $19.47 - $38.08 per hour.
