We are seeking a dedicated and driven Compliance Specialist to join our FedRAMP Compliance team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in cybersecurity or cloud security with experience interacting with governmental agencies, who is ready to apply their skills and contribute to our mission of maintaining a secure and compliant cloud platform. Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Oversight: Oversee and ensure compliance with FedRAMP requirements and other relevant regulations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance.

  • Access Management: Manage access control processes for authorized users, ensuring strict adherence to security protocols and policies.

  • Coordination and Liaison: Serve as a liaison between our organization and government agencies or auditors. Coordinate meetings, prepare documentation, and facilitate discussions as needed.

  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks to our cloud platform. Develop and implement strategies to address compliance gaps and security vulnerabilities.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and assessments. Prepare detailed reports on compliance status and security incidents.

  • Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Facilitate training sessions on compliance procedures and best practices.

  • Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts in the event of security breaches or incidents. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance security posture and compliance effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • US Citizenship is required to perform certain FedRAMP-related interactions

  • Experience with security auditsandassessmentsto ensure compliance with FedRAMP standards.

  • Understanding of other cloud security frameworks such asISO 27001,SOC 2, andCIS Controls.

  • Experience in conductingsecurity risk assessmentsfor cloud services.

  • Ability to identify and mitigatesecurity risksassociated with cloud deployments.

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of operation management and government regulations.

Nice to have:

  • Significant experience in roles related to government operations, regulatory compliance, or security operations is highly desirable. This may include experience in government agencies, regulatory bodies, or private sector organizations with a focus on compliance, security, or operations.

  • Experience evaluating cloud providers'security controlsagainst FedRAMP requirements.

  • Familiarity withcloud security standards, including NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, or OMB Circular A-130.

  • Knowledge ofsecurity documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).

  • Advanced certifications or relevant military/ government experience are highly desirable.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

$66,700.00 - $130,900.00
