If you are passionate about making a difference, we invite you to become a vital part of our dedicated team as a Lab Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a stable blood supply for patients in need. * Prepare, load, and transport supplies and equipment in a Commercial Motor Vehicle to and from mobile blood drives, including setting up/breaking down mobile workstations to assist with event coordination. * Conduct whole blood and apheresis collections with precision and care, adhering to strict protocols to ensure donor safety and product quality. * Utilize your medical skills to assess donor eligibility, including vital sign monitoring and hemoglobin testing, to guarantee the suitability of donations. * Process blood components and samples meticulously, ensuring accurate labeling and timely transport to support patient care. * Engage with the community to promote blood donations and drive participation in mobile blood drives, contributing to meeting the crucial needs of hospitals and patients. * Provide logistical support for mobile blood drives, including driving the team to and from sites, setting up equipment, and assisting with event coordination. * Utilize the ElDorado Donor system for donor registration and data entry, maintaining meticulous records to uphold regulatory standards. * Conduct daily quality control checks on equipment and supplies, upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Additional Details: The work schedule is considered a 4/10 schedule, with 10-hour shifts spanning Monday to Friday, along with rotating weekends and holidays. Shifts may vary between 5:00am to 10:00am start times, based on operational needs. Salary Range: $26.39 - $34.86/hour Qualifications
* Hold a current, valid Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification, along with CPR, BLS, or ACLS certification.
* Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET). * Maintain a valid California Driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record. * Obtain LiveScan clearance. * Have ability to work at various mobile drives. * Demonstrate flexibility to work alternative hours, including early mornings and late evenings, as required by blood drive assignments. Blood drive assignments may sometimes start as early as 5:00am and end as late as 9:00pm. * Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays. * Have basic computer skills, including internet navigation, email correspondence, and word processing. |
