The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless currently seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is responsible for leveraging best practices in recruiting, perform recruitment logistics, and assist in training hiring managers on Coalition recruiting, hiring and administrative processes. The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a partner on the Human Resources team, actively engaged in attracting and retaining employees. This position is located at 2111 Champa St., Denver, Colorado 80205 with hybrid/remote options and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Essential Job Functions



  1. Approves and posts new position requisitions to standard and specialized sourcing platforms using Dayforce system (a Ceridian product).
  2. Proposes approaches and recommends recruiting tactics that align with the Coalition's talent acquisition strategy and overall organizational goals.
  3. Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract qualified candidates.
  4. Manages full cycle recruitment efforts for assigned requisitions or high-volume recruitment efforts.
  5. Assists in managing candidate activity in Dayforce and follow up with hiring managers to assess the process and schedule recruiting assessments if needed.
  6. Completes candidate phone screenings and schedules those candidates for interviews with hiring managers for assigned job requisitions.
  7. Coordinates closely with the Training and Development team to ensure efficient onboarding of new hires.
  8. Coordinates closely with Credentialing and Privileging (C&P) around licensed provider recruiting to ensure efficient onboarding of new C&P hires.
  9. Conducts criminal background and Motor Vehicle Record screenings for prospective employees. Present prospective employees to hiring managers once screening results are available.
  10. Assists in the preparation and facilitation of leadership presentations and training about talent acquisition.
  11. Attends hiring events and career fairs for talent acquisition and company recognition.
  12. Assists in coordination of efforts with third-party recruiting firms for applicable positions.
  13. Assists in the design of materials and protocols for diversity recruiting in all departments and programs.
  14. Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  15. Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations.
  16. Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry; takes responsibility for continued professional development.
  17. Collaborates with manager to identify goals as part of regular supervision and learning/development plans.
  18. Serves on agency committees of own choosing as time permits.
  19. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Summary



  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for degree.
  2. Experience in a human resource generalist or talent acquisition role required. Other relevant experience may be considered.
  3. HRCI certification or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
