Job Summary

The Human Resource Manager is part of a central leadership team, collaborating with leaders to drive programs, processes and initiatives enhancing employee engagement and experience. This position reports into the Senior Director of People and Culture for Compass One. The HR Manager will engage with all employees across the business, solve problems with creative solutions, and drive a positive customer journey through our employees. Additionally, this role will leverage all facets of data, policy, process, and communication to drive excellence in the employee experience.

Successful candidates will demonstrate and have responsibility for the following in a fast-paced operations environment:

What you will do:

  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Drive and direct all employee engagement efforts for senior leaders, front line managers, and associates.
  • Understand business goals and recommend thoughtful new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of people and culture org.
  • Collaborate with site and regional leadership teams to understand hiring, development and attrition trends
  • Continuously innovate HR solutions and process improvement
  • Lead projects at a site and network level, influence and obtain buy-in from stakeholders, and then drive execution and achievement of the right results using effective project management skills.
  • Provide effective and timely communication while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, leaders and boundary partners with minimal direction.
  • Serve as a change agent to drive workplace transformation and adoption of new ways of working.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of HR Manager/HR Generalist Experience in an e-commerce, hospitality, fulfillment center or large retail environment
  • Bi-lingual; Spanish preferred
  • Proven ability to drive results through executing employee programs (on-boarding, benefits, etc.)
  • Proven ability to partner with leaders to assess hiring needs, employee development and attrition trends
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Proven ability to learn new technology, systems and processes
  • Ability to travel 50%
