Job Overview

This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a cross-functional team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment as it relates to programs related to developing the technical workforce (Example: Technicians).Will create partnerships across the Komatsu organization as well as outside resources (Ex: schools, universities, other talent resources, etc.).

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 3-5 professionals, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize OEM workforce development resources, funding, and programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical workforce forecasts with distributors needs and facilitate technical school expansion programs.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and ensure goals are met.
  • Coordinate technical college needs and ensure collaboration with internal OEM departments (parts, service, and/or training)
  • Manage recruiting and technical workforce coordinator activates across multiple events and facilities ensuring successful student engagement.
  • Manage resource allocation and workload distribution to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a point of contact for escalations and provide timely resolution of issues.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS or BA degree in the areas of Adult Education, Training, and/or Continuing Education or 10 years of industry experience in the field(s) of education, training, service.
  • 5+ years of experience in job related area(s).
  • High degree of industry knowledge relative to training development and delivery.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% nationwide including industry events and college campuses.


Preferred Experience:



  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
  • Certifications in project management or education disciplines.
  • Experience working in higher education, technical service, or technical training.
