It's election season and we need your help! Calling all Warehouse Drivers!

Our Temporary Warehouse Drivers with Maricopa County Elections assist with election activities by transporting equipment, making deliveries, and assembling election material and voter center supplies.

We Require

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED.

Successful candidates must be registered voters or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona. You must pass an applicable background screening. You may be required to use a County or personal vehicle for your work, which would require a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, a reliable vehicle, and attendance in Maricopa County's Defensive Driving Course.

  • Two or more years of professional driving experience
  • One or more years of warehouse experience
  • Experience driving a 26-foot box truck with air brakes

Job Contributions

  • Drives 26-ft. box truck with air brakes to deliver and pick up Election materials
  • Works in teams of two with a partner from a different political party
  • Transports equipment and items to and from Polling Locations and Vote Centers
  • Prepares Election supplies in a warehouse environment
  • Supports other warehouse functions such as checking equipment in and out, lifting and stacking inventory, and general warehouse maintenance
  • Replenishes labels, pallet stacks, loads/unloads trailers, and moves stowed products to various locations
  • Fulfills and organizes orders to ensure vote centers have adequate equipment and ensure the delivery process is efficient and accurate
  • Follows a checklist to ensure that the setup of the Vote Center is done accurately and completely
  • Before setup, verifies that the room and area allocated for equipment are available to use and check that the correct equipment was delivered
  • Responsible for collaborating with Poll Workers to set up Vote Centers and Polling Locations before opening for Election activities
  • Assists other divisions of the Elections Department with their daily functions and activities

Working Conditions

  • Full-time/Temporary/Overtime hours are mandatory during the election cycle
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Upper extremity repetitive motion
  • Requires daily repetitive manual lifting and moving of election equipment
  • Ability to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 40 pounds and carry for 100 feet
  • Ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds for 200 feet
  • Use of a pallet jack will be required
