What You'll Do

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in, but not limited to, fabricating and assembly, with a keen focus on adhering to schedules, meeting productivity goals, and supporting company policies.



  • Assumes responsibility for all activities of the plant and plant site. Plans and assigns duties supervises employees assigned to the shift, and ensures duties are being performed by established plant policies and procedures.
  • Actively coaches co-workers and communicates with all employees to facilitate positive change and continuous improvement in all processes, including the safety process.
  • Reviews production schedules and provides staffing recommendations based on product demand. Assists in the selection of employees and the direction and selection of training.
  • Develops, implements, and reviews employee performance and development plans to ensure quality, productivity, and delivery goals are met.
  • Promotes quality, teamwork, and organizational leadership.
  • Implements process control procedures to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Demonstrates leadership in all areas of production. This requires observing and enforcing rules and practices, encouraging safe and healthy work behaviors, and promptly correcting conditions and unsafe behaviors, which may lead to accidents.
  • Takes appropriate actions to ensure that resources and efforts remain focused on the achievement of plant financial and operating goals.
  • Provides input on capacity and process capability.
  • Ensures resolution of departmental labor relations issues
  • Ensures employees report to their jobs in appropriate mental and physical condition and ready to work.
  • Promotes and supports diverse initiatives and equal employment opportunity.
  • Administer company and union work rules, contracts, and procedures.


What You'll Bring



  • High school diploma required or post-high school education.
  • Ability to be versatile and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude, quality background, lean manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and organizational skills are preferred.
  • Comfortable making decisions and enforcing them, following set guidelines consistently.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to plan, organize, initiate, and follow up.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Access
