Naturalist - On Call - Mandalay Bay Shark Reef

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a Naturalist at the Shark Reef, you will set the stage for fabulous guest experiences with your welcoming smile and superior service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Educate visitors about the aquarium's marine life

• Maintain guest and animal safety, by ensuring guest safety guidelines

• Use a microphone to educate guests

• Verify guests' tickets prior to entry

• Perform other job-related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Has a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Loves speaking in front of an audience of all ages

• Has experience in guest services, preferably in a resort setting

• An interest in educating or teaching is a bonus

• Have a basic knowledge of computer software

SCHEDULE:

On - call: likely average 20-25 hours per week; could include weekends and holidays

STARTING PAY RATE:

$14.00 per hour
