At Simpson Our Life Enrichment Aide is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day delivery of resident centered and resident directed programs while exceeding Simpsons quality standards.

The Life Enrichment Aide is responsible for helping with the planning and implementation of programs at the community, transporting residents to and from programs, encouraging residents to join programs, and delivering programs that meet the quality measures of Simpson.


Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interpret instructions (written and verbal)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Capable of working independently and with a team
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Creative thinker


Responsibilities and Expectations:



  • Position requires a great deal of passion, compassion, consideration, and patience.
  • Ideal candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of the Simpson Team.
  • Provide programming specific to resident's individual needs, interests, routines, preferences, and abilities.
  • Provide a safe, welcoming, comfortable, and structured environment.
  • Encourage and promote active engagement and cognitive stimulation.
  • Provide programming that is meaningful, purposeful and failure free.
  • Promote and support resident centered, and resident directed programming.
  • Partner with family members to learn residents cultural and spiritual beliefs, habits, traditions, values, and lifestyle preferences.
  • All other duties as assigned.
