Senior Director, Global Learning and Development

The Opportunity:

The Senior Director of Global Learning and Development will report to the Vice President of Global Talent. This position will be responsible for overseeing the strategic design, implementation, and management of Leadership, Professional Skills, and Sales Development initiatives across the organization. The role requires effective collaboration and relationship building with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence to develop development strategies that support key enterprise growth priorities, enhance the associate experience, and build a strong bench of future leaders. The position operates in a highly matrixed environment and requires an ability to align with stakeholders from various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leaders to identify development needs and opportunities for employees.
  • Create an annual strategic plan and metrics for client groups and support via blended learning portfolios for all Associates.
  • Develop robust, high-quality portfolios for Sales Skills, Sales Onboarding, Corporate Onboarding, Executive, Leadership, and Professional Skills that may include tools and resources to meet employees' needs and improve their skills.
  • Provide coaching and assessment programs for key talent.
  • Lead a team of program managers to ensure outstanding learner experience via our content, enablement approach, processes, and systems; including our Annual Learning & Career Week, and our Leadership Experience event.
  • Utilize talent data to inform strategic plans, and specific development activities for key talent, while ensuring a diversity lens on all efforts.
  • Partner with the Change/Communication team, Global Communications, and other stakeholders to create innovative and effective approaches to promote awareness and utilization of programs.
  • Establish and maintain a governance of Learning Architecture to support content and enhance the learner experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and evolving Learning Solutions
  • 5+ years of leadership Development experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading global teams
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or sales learning and development
  • Experience in training evaluation methods, instructional design, adult learning concepts, and development delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working across the training cycle from training needs analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Experience leading global, cross-functional complex programs and projects.
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience preferably within a global life sciences, technology or manufacturing company.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external client groups, and at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying actionable insights from data analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and interpersonal communication, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members, investing in their career growth and development.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to create insightful presentations and deliver them to leadership forums.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on building trust, demonstrating accountability, modeling inclusivity, leading with transparency, and inspiring the growth of team members through differentiated experiences.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to understand business strategy and goals.
  • Effective collaboration, consultation, and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle complex assignments and communicate plans and approaches in a clear, concise, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within global, matrixed organizations.
  • Create and report on metrics to determine satisfaction and the impact of strategic training plans.
  • Analyze employee and operational data to proactively identify areas of concern and create mitigation plans in collaboration with people leaders.
  • Oversee the budget for training programs.
