Job Description

The VCA team assists Visa's clients in solving their strategic questions around growing their businesses. This team drives tangible and impactful financial results for Visa clients by identifying opportunities and using industry expertise and Visa's data and technology capabilities to develop and change client strategies.

This Associate Analyst will help support the team on strategic consulting engagements.

Typical projects for VCA include:

  • How does an issuer expand or increase market share in credit or commercial products?
  • How should a credit card issuer use emerging technology to acquire the best customers?
  • How does an issuer expand their credit card portfolio while mitigating credit risk?
  • How does an issuer optimize their product offerings?

Responsibilities:

  • Play an integral role on a team of experienced professionals in delivering strategic consulting services to key Visa clients
  • Complete consulting engagements with other team members, including participating in interviews, analyzing confidential client data, and summarizing key findings
  • Conduct industry research and identify internal and external data resources to create custom analytics
  • Complete detailed analysis on client data and identify preliminary trends and themes in the data
  • Develop client-specific presentations which address executive's needs and deliver presentations to clients and internal Visa partners.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

2 or more years of work experience

Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills

Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to process and summarize large amounts of data into key strategic insights

Knowledge of finance and general ledger accounting

Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts

Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

A background in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus

An affinity for payments technology and its future

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 69,400 to 115,250 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
