Job Description

Business Group Overview:

Issuing Solutions is a high-growth business unit within Visa's Value-Added Services (VAS) organization. Our group is responsible for building & commercializing products that improve issuer processing and cardholder experiences.

As a member of the Issuing Strategy and Analytics team, you will be responsible for using data analytics to identify new business opportunities, measure product performance, recommend experimentation strategies, support 3rd party partnership negotiations, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • You will code, pull data, and develop strategic insights (e.g.: market size, revenue pools by region/segment, product performance, usage rates) for the business.
  • Scope & lead data-focused consulting projects with internal Product Leaders.
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for all issuer-related data questions.
  • You will partner with Visa's Data organization to develop and enforce clear governance rules.
  • Support instrumentation, performance planning, and monitoring for new Product initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to productize internal performance monitoring capabilities w/ clients.
  • You will create automated dashboards (e.g.: Tableau) & enable always-on performance monitoring.
  • Develop scalable operating models w/ cross-functional teams, act as the single (primary) point of contact for teams outside of Issuing Solutions on all data-related topics.
  • Drive socialization of important findings & next steps. Influence senior leaders to execute against recommendations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of workexperience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD)
  • You have strong analytical acumen - includnig pullling data, developing models and conducting analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevantexperience
  • You have excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen.
  • You have a technical background in pulling data, developing models, and conducting analyses.
  • Prior experience in Python, R, and other languages preferred.
  • You have experience creating financial indicators to measure business performance in financial services and/or payments preferred.
  • You will experience creating automated reporting & dashboards (e.g.: Tableau) preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, project management, and communication.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable in ambiguous environments.
  • Collaborative spirit and a knack for understanding and communicating stakeholder needs.
  • Curious and inquisitive, with a strong desire to get beyond the 'what' and into the 'why'.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 170,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
